#SayNoToXenophobia: Malawi Shut Down South African Shops Today In Retaliation

The Malawi government has Today, 24, April 2015, embraced a tit-for-tat measures by shutting down all shops owned by South Africans, following the recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

The decision was orchestrated by the Consumers Association of Malawi, (CAMA), Boss, John Kapito, the shop owners of Pep, Game and Shoprite were asked to leave their shops shut down for business.
The verdict is not unconnected to the ongoing Xenophobic massacre in South Africa, where two Malawians were killed..
However, after 390 Malawians were rescued from south African two days ago, the government has decided to for now place an embargo on South African companies such as ShopRite, Games, PEP among others operating in the country.
