Pics: Teju Babyface's wife mugged on Eko Bridge, her car windows smashed

Comedian, Talk Show host and TV producer Teju Babyface's wife, Tobi Oyelakin, was on her way to the mainland at about 8pm last night when her car was attacked by hoodlums on Eko Bridge. She was in the car with her driver and 3 other girls in the back seat and were approaching the National Theater area of the Eko bridge when they encountered some traffic.

They had barely come to a stop when 4 boys leaped out of the shadows and knocked on the windows with torch lights and asked them to roll down the windows. They were still trying to come to terms with rising levels of panic when the hoodlums shattered the rear windows on both sides of the car and proceeded to rough-handle the ladies in the back seat and collect all valuables.
The hoodlums proceeded with impunity to open all the bags and pour the contents into nylon bags they brought along. This was in the presence of all other motorists on the bridge. The robbery went on for well over 2minutes from start to finish.

When they had finished and disappeared into the shadows and the occupants of the car were able to drive away, they saw policemen further down the bridge on patrol and reported t‎o them that they had been robbed, whereupon the policemen empathized (or sympathized) with them simply by saying 'ah, those boys have started again'.
Luckily no one sustained grave injuries in the attack and Teju's wife is fine but very shook up.
Speaking about the incident, Teju said;

"One realizes that this is becoming almost commonplace and acceptable in Lagos as reports reaching us indicate that it happens daily. That may very well be an axiom but I share this with you to bring attention to what threatens to become endemic. A great contretemps I must confess."

N25Bn Scam: Judge Convicts Igbinedion's Younger Brother For Money Laundering, Misappropriation of Funds and Abuse of Office

Justice J. Liman of the Federal High Court Benin, Edo State, today convicted Michael Igbinedion, younger brother to Lucky Igbinedion, former Edo State governor, and Charles Eboigbodin .
The duo alongside their companies; Gava Corporation Limited; Romrig Nigeria Limited; PML Securities Company Limited and PML Nigeria Limited, were prosecuted on an 81-count charge of money laundering,  misappropriation of funds and abuse of office brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The convicts had pleaded not guilty when they were arraigned, setting the stage for a full trail.  In the course of trial, the prosecution called several witnesses to prove its case.
One of them, Mr. Ajoyo Sowale, an Accounts Officer with the Guaranty Trust Bank, identified various account statements and account opening documents of the convicts and confirmed to the court that several lodgements were made into the accounts, and that he printed the account statements and got them certified by the appropriate authority.
The parties adopted their written addressed in November14,  2014 , while judgment was fixed for December 1, 2014. But a series of adjournments  delayed the delivery of the ruling till April 29.
When justice Liman finally delivered his ruling today, he found the two accused persons guilty on some of the counts. The judge convicted Eboigbodin for money laundering on counts 50-59, while Igbinedion was pronounced guilty as charged on counts 79-81.
The judge however deferred the sentencing of the convicts till tomorrow April 30, 2015.

Falling oil prices threaten my agenda — Buhari

THE President- elect, General Muhammadu Buhari yesterday painted a gloomy picture in the economic development of his administration as he said that the decline in the revenues due to fall in oil prices poses a great threat to his administration’s development agenda.
GBuhari-oilen. Buhari who visited the newly elected Senators and House of Representatives members who are undergoing induction course in preparation for the 8th National Assembly in Abuja also said that the decline in revenue would affect the reconstruction of devastated areas in the country as a result of insurgency.
He reminded the elected members of the 8th assembly of the challenges the nation had been facing which he also said would continue in the near future.
The challenges according to him include general insecurity and insurgency that has caused extreme human hardship and destruction of lives, livelihoods that would take over a decade to rebuild across most of North Eastern Nigeria and some parts of North western Nigeria.
Another threat to his administration according to him was the devastation and environmental degradation in the Niger Delta area which he said must be attended to.
Others include, “endemic corruption which has crippled human and infrastructure development for decades. Unacceptably poor provision of power supply which has had a crippling effect on development of small businesses and indeed the wider economy.
“Deindustrialization for the past three decades leading to closure of many industries and migration of many to other African countries. Unacceptably high levels of unemployment and especially Youth Unemployment reaching over 40 per cent.”
Besides, Gen. Buhari mentioned high cost of governance that has been crowding out the nation’s capital and human development, erosion of public social services such as infrastructure, health and education as well as lack of development in the agricultural and solid mineral sectors as areas that should be aggressively addressed.
While soliciting the support of the lawmakers, the President-elect said, “The legislature is a critical component and necessary ingredient of democracy and good governance. The legislature by nature is inherently democratic in the sense that all members are equal and are elected representatives of the Nigerian people.
“As President-elect, I recognize this fact and believe that legislators carry this heavy burden of representation with all the seriousness it deserves.
“For a president to be successful in addressing community development and general welfare of the various people of the country, he or she would benefit from working closely and in harmony with the legislative arm of government.
“I therefore commit myself to working with the legislature as development partners motivated by the desire to deliver good governance”.
He commended President Goodluck Jonathan for the role he played in the sustenance of democratic institution by accepting election result, saying that Nigeria was in the threshold of history.
Bemoaning high cost of governance, he said, “First and foremost, appropriate policies need to be put in place and such policies may have to be translated into laws.
“Secondly, the oversight functions of the legislature is critical in ensuring that policies are implemented effectively and transparently. Therefore, my mission to bring integrity into governance would better succeed if complemented with a strong culture of transparent oversight.
“We need to collaborate on the budget process and restructuring of the public sector so as to collectively tackle the menace of high recurrent cost at the expense of capital and human development.”
“There is an urgent need to contain this high state of insecurity. All of you are representing various communities. We need to work together to address the problem from both its roots and manifestations.
“The strongest mitigating forces at this point are to redress the power sector deficits, encourage investments that are job creating and focus on human development and reconstruction. We also need to deploy efforts in conflict resolution and peace building in all our communities.
“I am here today, to invite you to work with the executive as partners in progress, as champions of good governance and development and as warriors for change. Together, we can make this nation great and as a role model in Africa and other emerging economies and democracies.”
President of the Senate and Chairman of the National Assembly, David Mark, who ushered in the President-elect into the International Conference Centre, in company of other leaders of the National Assembly, described the visit as historic.
Noting that it was the first time a President-elect was considering it worthwhile to address a joint session of the National Assembly, Mark agreed it was a historic meeting in the journey of democracy.
For the Speaker, House of Representative and Governor-elect, Sokoto State, Honourable Aminu W. Tambuwal, Buhari has extended a hand of fellowship to the legislature by his personal visit.
Tambuwal however expressed hope that his colleagues would reciprocate Buhari’s gesture by also extending a sincere hand of fellowship to the President-elect when his government fully takes over.

Buhari Denies Barring AIT; Issues Warning to his Team

President-elect Muhammadu Buhari has denied barring African Independent Television (AIT) from covering his activities and said he only became aware of the matter after the public uproar it generated.
AIT had been barred from covering his activities on Monday, but the APC overturned the decision the following day. Buhari says he was neither consulted nor informed about the AIT barring. And in a statement released on Wednesday evening by Garba Shehu, the head of the media and publicity directorate of the APC presidential campaign, Buhari was quoted as saying:
“The time of change has come and we must avoid making the same mistakes that the
outgoing government made.”
Shehu’s statement said Buhari has instructed all his staff, including the personnel attached directly to him, “to steer clear of all dealings with the media, and leave all media affairs to his official media team”. Adding that his media team should be left to deal with their media colleagues as they best knew how.
“I would like everyone to henceforth stay within his/her defined area of responsibility.”
On Monday, Shehu had said AIT has been asked to step aside based on security and family concerns. In addition, that Buhari has decided that they will have to resolve some issues relating to issues of standard and ethics.
“We will be talking with them to try and resolve the matter, but for now the station has been asked to stay aside because, like I said, there are some family and security concerns. They have been asked to step down their coverage until we resolve the matter with them on ethics and standards‎.
You can quote me that I said that we have asked them to step aside and that we are resolving the the issues of ethics and standards with them.”

Jonathan warns Buhari against running parallel govt, says I’m still in charge

The Federal Government on Wednesday warned the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, against actions capable of portraying him as running a parallel government at a time President Goodluck Jonathan is still fully in charge. The Minister of National Planning, Abubakar Sulaiman, issued the warning at the end of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja. Sulaiman told State House correspondents that FEC considered the state of the transition programme and took exception to some utterances and terms of reference of the committee set up by Buhari. Buhari inaugurated a 19-member committee with a charge to members not to engage in a witch-hunt. Sulaiman, who is the chairman of the Technical Subcommittee of the outgoing government’s transition committee, said such utterances by Buhari and his team were suggestive that the current government was either being stampeded or intimidated. He said, “We did receive from the incoming government’s transition committee some terms of reference which we looked at critically and council did agree that the President remains the current head of government of this country. “The incoming government should avoid creating a parallel government while the government is still on. “We take exception to some utterances and some of the terms of reference that look as if the current government is being stampeded or intimidated. “Council frowned on most of the statements, most of the provocations and council members are advised to work in line with the terms of reference of the current government. “Council members are also told that the terms of reference as formatted by our transition committee should be strictly complied with. “When the incoming government takes over government, they can come out with their programmes; they can come out with their own agenda and they can decide to come out with policies in the way they feel like. “This government remains resolute to the various programmes and projects it is pursuing and it will continue to do that until the morning of May 29.” When asked to be specific on some of the terms of reference of the incoming government’s transition committee that the outgoing government felt uncomfortable with, Sulaiman simply told journalists to go and do their investigation. He also warned that Jonathan’s “magnanimity should not be taken as a sign of cowardice.” Sulaiman added that Jonathan and the council members “enjoined Nigerians to see the olive branch extended to Nigerians and the international community as a way of keeping this country intact and as a way of ensuring peace in Nigeria. “As such, whatever the outcome of the elections, what is important is Nigeria’s national interest. And that national interest should be protected, enhanced and promoted at whatever level we are. “These are issues that bordered on transition programme discussed in council.”

American Newspaper Indicts Bola Tinubu on Drug Trafficking Allegations

Bola Tinubu
General Muhammed Buhari’s political partner is a former bagman for two heroin traffickers. But that’s just business as usual in Nigeria.
Nigeria’s election last month was celebrated as an unlikely victory for democracy in an African country with a tenuous record of free and fair representation. But the man most responsible for midwifing General Muhammed Buhari’s ballot triumph over current President Goodluck Jonathan has a spotty CV. Former Lagos provincial governor Bola Tinubu, affectionately nicknamed the Jagaban, is today seen as a shrewd if not “deeply Machiavellian” Svengali in Nigeria’s politics as well as the architect of a hugely successful anti-corruption platform. But 20 years ago he had to forfeit nearly half a million dollars to the U.S. Treasury Department after being named as an accomplice in a white heroin-trafficking and money-laundering ring that stretched from West Africa to the U.S. Midwest.
Although his case has been bandied about the Nigerian press for years, Tinubu’s involvement in a federal drug and racketeering investigation waged jointly by the DEA, FBI, and IRS has gone unreported elsewhere, even after his ascendance to Karl Rove-like status last month. A recent gauzy Financial Times profile of him, for instance, neglected to mention that two decades ago Tinubu was identified as a bagman for two Nigerian heroin movers who operated out of Chicago and Hammond, Indiana. They were Adegboyega Mueez Akande and Abiodun Agbele, Akande’s nephew, who was exposed to law enforcement after selling white heroin first to Lee Andrew Edwards, another dealer later jailed for trying to murder a federal agent, and then to an undercover cop.
In a 1993 court docket from the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Illinois, which The Daily Beast obtained from Sahara Reporters, a Nigeria-focused news outlet, IRS Special Agent Kevin Moss said that Akande had run the white heroin ring in the late 1980s until 1990, when he handed off the U.S arm of the business to his nephew, who had arrived in 1988. Akande then returned to Nigeria but continued to oversee the operation from abroad with the help of others at home and in the United States, including his relatives. One of the individuals identified in his cartel by Moss was Tinubu, then a Chicago State University-educated accountant working as a treasurer for Mobil Oil Nigeria Ltd, a subsidiary of energy giant Mobil Oil, which was still a few years shy of its famous merger with Exxon in 1999.
In the biography section of his official website, Tinubu is described as having emigrated to the United States in 1975 “in search of the proverbial Golden Fleece with a heart brimming with unrelenting determination to achieve his visions.” This is certainly one way to describe his tenure stateside.
In 1989, Moss said in an affidavit, Tinubu established an individual money market account, into which he deposited $1,000 in traveler’s checks, and a negotiable order of withdrawal account (NOW) at First Heritage Bank in Country Club Hills, Illinois. The address Tinubu gave the bank was the same as the listed headquarters of Globe-Link International, the front company owned by Akande and his relatives.
“There’s a trend of various Nigerian politicians at the highest levels involved in dodgy business deals around the world, in property and cash.”
Bank employees told Moss that Akande had personally introduced them to Tinubu in December 1989 when who also opened a joint checking account with his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, who already kept a joint account with Akande’s wife at First Heritage. Five days after the NOW account was opened, $80,000 was wired into it from a bank in Houston maintained by one of Akande’s relatives. Tinubu would later use the NOW account to buy a $10,000 Certificate of Deposit for an $8,000 car loan, listing Akande as his cousin on the application.
At the time, Tinubu’s take home as a Mobil Oil Nigeria executive was a mere $2,400 a month and he claimed not to have any other revenue streams. Yet he still managed to deposit $661,000 into his individual money market account in 1990 and then another $1,216,500 a year later. He also opened more accounts with Citibank in its worldwide personal banking unit, transferring over half a million dollars from his First Heritage money market account into one of them in early 1991.
Mobil Oil Nigeria told Moss that Tinubu’s role at the company never involved transferring large sums of money between banks and that it didn’t keep deposits in any institutions in the south suburbs of Chicago, where First Heritage was based. Moreover, although Tinubu moved back to Nigeria in 1983, he neglected to file U.S. income tax returns after 1984 despite having sizable, interest-generating deposits in American banks. All of this was enough to persuade a magistrate judge of the Northern District to issue seizure warrants for Tinubu’s First Heritage and Citibank accounts. Collectively, more than $1.4 million belonging to the Nigerian was confiscated.
Tinubu gave differing accounts for his wealth to Moss. In one phone call from Nigeria, shortly after the U.S. Treasury seized his money, he admitted to wiring $100,000 to Akande’s Houston bank account and to receiving the $80,000 from Akande into his First Heritage account. Tinubu also said that apart from one other account in Fairfax, Virginia, he had no other money stashed in U.S. banks.
Except that there were other accounts. Citibank has a worldwide banking division known as Citibank International where Tinubu stashed an additional $550,000. He also controlled an entity called Compass Finance and Investments Company Ltd., of which Akande and Agbele were directors. Still another nexus of money transfers was uncovered by federal investigators, with cash moving from First Heritage to Citibank to Citibank International, where it wound up in Tinubu’s personal accounts and in those belonging to Compass Finance and Investments. In a follow-up exchange with law enforcement officers, Tinubu changed his story. Just days after conceding that he’d sent and received money to and from Akande, he insisted that he had no financial or business dealings with Akande or Agbele.
There’s no evidence that Tinubu was ever indicted for any crime. He eventually settled with the district court, turning over $460,000 of the seized $1.4 million, with the remainder released back to him. The Beast tried repeatedly to contact Marsha McClellan, the U.S. attorney who prosecuted the case, but was unsuccessful.
“I’m not surprised at all,” said Virginia Comolli, a specialist on Nigeria and author of Boko Haram: Nigeria’s Islamist Insurgency. “There’s a trend of various Nigerian politicians at the highest levels involved in dodgy business deals around the world, in property and cash. Even ones who seem fairly clean turn out to have some dark histories.” The perfect case in point is Tinubu’s political project and new president-elect of Nigeria, General Muhammed Buhari, who in 1983 helped overthrow a democratically elected government in a military coup d’etat on the grounds that the government was undisciplined and corrupt. “He resorted to brutal methods, beating up people for not queuing properly and imposing limitations on the media,” Comolli said. “I think a lot of the votes Buhari got were anti-Jonathan rather than pro-Buhari.”
But no doubt, many also came from a savvy fusion of political factions. In February 2013, Tinubu successfully merged his own influential Action Congress party with Buhari’s Congress for Progressive Change, resulting in the All Progressives Congress. The marriage united Nigeria’s most populous northwest and southwest regions and the ensuing campaign was billed by Tinubu as a “commonsense revolution” against a corrupt and venal incumbency which, in its five years in power, had seen the terrorist group and newly-minted ISIS affiliate Boko Haram thrive. Buhari swept the election with 2.7 million more votes than Jonathan.
Even before that trouncing, however, Tinubu had a relatively positive reputation in Nigeria, according to former U.S. ambassador to Nigeria John Campbell. “He is widely regarded as having been a highly successful governor of Lagos state,” he said. “Together with Tinubu’s handpicked successor, Babatunde Fashola, Lagos has seen dramatic improvements in everything from practical stuff like garbage collection to the collection of taxes and the provision of public services,” Campbell told The Beast. Though even here, the ex-diplomat admits, Tinubu’s good governance has been clouded by controversy. “He established a company to do the tax collecting in return for a cut and, at one point, Tinubu and Fashola appeared to be splitting over the percentage of Tinubu’s cut.”
Drug charges do indeed appear to be the sine qua non for Nigerian high office. The year 1993, when Tinubu’s assets were seized, was a turbulent period for Nigeria following the cancellation of a national election and the establishment of a military dictatorship. Moshood Abiola, the rightful winner of that election, was accused of narcotics trafficking. So too is “Prince” Buruji Kashamu from the People’s Democratic Party, who has faced extradition back to the United States since 1998. Kashamu was indicted by a federal grand jury in Chicago for being the elusive “Alaji,” a globetrotting drug kingpin who smuggled heroin into O’Hare International Airport from Europe and Asia. Piper Kerman, the memoirist who inspired the Netflix series Orange is the New Black, famously worked for Alaji. Kashamu denies the charges and insists that he was purportedly a counterterrorism informant to the U.S. government before and after 9/11, and that the real trafficker was his now-deceased brother.
Despite his party’s general loss to the All Progressives Congress, Kashumu was elected in March as senator of the southwest Ogun state. In what appeared to be a magnanimous gesture to the winner, he took out an advertisement praising Tinubu as a role model. The Jagaban was distinctly unimpressed. He trashed the comparison in a statement signed by his media adviser, claiming that for Kashamu “to liken himself to Bola Tinubu is for a small rut to call itself a mountain.” Tinubu instructed the “false praise singer” to go face the music in the Windy City before deigning to talk to him.

John Fashanu Says His Wife Adaeze Yobo's Mother Abigail, Tried to KILL Him After She Caught Him Having Raunchy Sex Threesome

Soccer legend John Fashanu has accused his wife of trying to kill him – after she allegedly found him bedding two women at the same time. The retired former Wimbledon and England striker said estranged Abigail Onyekwelu went for him with a knife during a furious row at their home.

Abigail is the mother of former beauty queen Adaeze Yobo. Fashanu met her in 2009. They married two years later but the relationship hit the skids last year.

Fashanu is now at the centre of a bitter divorce battle with Abigail – and insists SHE cheated on him with a woman. She denies his claims and the astonishing battle – which includes the accusation that he bedded their maid – is to be played out in the high court in Abuja, Nigeria.

Furious Abigail, 48, said last night: “Good riddance to bad rubbish! I’ve left him and washed my hands.” But Fashanu, 52 hit back with an extraordinary series of allegations. He said he had to call in police to protect him from knife-wielding Abigail and was devastated to find her in bed with another woman.

He also alleged that she stole thousands of pounds in cash from their marital home. Speaking exclusively to the Sunday People the star – who now presents the Nigerian version of TV’s Deal or No Deal – said: “She attempted to use knives on me. It was terrifying.

“My life was at stake, there’s no two ways about that.
“Even if you did think I was sleeping with the maid, or even if you thought I was sleeping with Miss Nigeria, don’t kill me! Just leave me and go. The violence was just too much. My life was at risk and I didn’t want it to happen again. That’s why I filed for divorce.”

He denied his wife’s claim to have discovered him in bed with two other women – one of them their maid.
“I’ve been very fortunate to date some of the most beautiful women in the world,” Fash insisted. I certainly don’t have to sleep with my cleaner!
“This is me, John Fashanu, you’re talking to. It’s absolute nonsense. If she wants to make up that story, at least let her say it’s Beyoncé or someone.
“Don’t say it’s my cleaner, that’s just b******s. It’s not true at all. The truth is she’s been cheating on me with a woman she calls her spiritual partner.
“I caught them in the bed many times. That was why I kicked her out of my house.”

Father-of-five Fashanu claimed police are now investigating an attack on him. He also alleged that officers are trying to retrieve missing cash from Abigail. He said:
“I’m the one who is filing for divorce. I couldn’t stand her and, to be honest, she probably couldn’t stand me. With Abigail it was just money, money, money.
“I’ve never seen a woman who has such an appetite for money. Nearly one million Nigerian naira (around £3,300) was stolen from my house in Abuja. There are police reports you can see.
“There were so many assaults, it was just getting too much. It was absolutely ridiculous. She attacked me on multiple occasions. The whole situation was far too hot for me. There are some wonderful, wonderful women. It’s just that I met the wrong one.”

Glamorous socialite Abigail, a qualified lawyer and mother-in-law to former Nigerian football captain Joseph Yobo, paints a totally different picture of the marriage breakdown. The mother of four said:
“John’s saying I tried to kill him? Oh my God, this is so funny. I don’t quite understand all this.
“How can I kill him? How can somebody like me kill this huge man who is an expert in karate. I don’t understand how I can kill him.”

Told that he had accused her of going to his house armed with knives before trying to attack him, Abigail retorted: “Oh my God, that is ridiculous.”

She also rejected Fashanu’s claim that he threw her out of his house
after finding her in bed with another woman. Abigail said:
“He didn’t kick me out of his house. We were living in my house. He couldn’t have kicked me out of my own house – I kicked him out.”

Of the woman concerned, she insisted:
“She is a good friend to me. She has a husband and children. It is ridiculous. She was living with me for a while to get back on her feet. I caught him in bed with two women, the housemaid and one other woman. There were two women, it was awful.
“They were on the bed. They were undressed. I said to them, ‘Who are you and what’s going on here?’
“He told me that he doesn’t know what he’s doing and I should pray for him. He knows how to manipulate people, that’s one thing he is good at.
“I last saw him in April last year. I didn’t know he’d filed for divorce. He has been calling people asking them to plead with me to get back with him.
“I would have filed for divorce myself but I haven’t because I’ve been very busy. And he asked me not to because he did not want to make it known that we had separated.
“So I went on my way and I left him but I didn’t tell anybody anything.
“I’ve told him, ‘I don’t want you any more, I have forgiven you, I’m a Christian. But I don’t want you any more, just leave me alone.’
I don’t take him seriously. I don’t have time for him. If I should be angry at anyone, I should be angry at myself for descending so low as to enter into marriage with such a person.”

Responding to claims she stole money from Fashanu, Abigail added:
“Anybody can say anything – but how can I go to his house and steal from him in his house?
“I wasn’t living there with him. He’s sick and he needs help.”

Fashanu's first marriage, to Ivory Coast model Melissa Kassa-Mapsi, ended in divorce in 2004. Now Fashanu is a famous and respected figure in Africa.

Wife Abigail claims he has fathered six children by three different women.

Meanwhile he added:
“I filed the divorce petition in September and it’s listed for mention on the 19th of next month at the court in Abuja. We’re trying to move it through.”

Nigerians Lose Over 84m Naira To South Africa’s Xenophobic Attacks as Government Struggling to Find a Permanent Solution

The Nigerian Union in South Africa says more than 4.6 million Rand, about 84 million Naira, has been lost by Nigerians to xenophobic attacks, as against 1.2 million Rand (21 million Naira), initially estimated.

According to Mr Anyene, the union had compiled the losses and given the list to Nigeria’s Consul-General in South Africa. He said the Nigerian victims of the attacks needed urgent assistance to re-settle, as many of them had lost their means of livelihood.

This is coming just as South Africa is struggling to find a permanent solution to the xenophobia exhibited by its citizens.

Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs II, Mr Musiliu Obanikoro, had said the Nigerian government delegation in South Africa had taken record of loses that Nigerians may had incurred as a result of the xenophobic attacks.

He said the government would do its best to ensure that they would be adequately compensated.

Women Who Squirt During Sex Are Actually Peeing -- Study Reveals

When aroused, some women may experience squirting, or a rather noticeable discharge of fluid. What it is exactly and where it comes from has been hotly debated: female expulsion or adult bedwetting? Researchers are now saying that squirting is essentially involuntary urination.

Female Erupt is technically the small amount of milky white fluid that’s expressed when climaxing, New Scientist explains. Squirting, on the other hand, results in a much larger gush of a clear fluid, which comes from the urethra, the duct where urine is conveyed from the bladder. The findings, which combine biochemical analyses with pelvic ultrasounds, were published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine on Christmas Eve.

A French team led by Samuel Salama from Hopital Privé de Parly II recruited seven healthy women—who’ve reported recurrent and massive fluid emission (enough to fill a cup) during sexual stimulation—to undergo “provoked sexual arousal.” The team conducted pelvic ultrasound scans after urination and during sexual excitation just before and after the squirting event.

All of the women had empty bladders before sexual excitation, however, urine collected just before squirting showed that the bladder was filling up. Urine sampled after squirting revealed that the bladder had been emptied again, revealing the origin of the squirted liquid.

The researchers also analyzed chemical concentrations in the urine samples (before arousal and after squirting) as well as the squirting sample itself. These included urea, uric acid, creatinine (a byproduct of muscle metabolism), and prostatic-specific antigen (PSA). The latter is a protein that’s produced in men’s prostate glands and in the “female prostate” called the Skene glands; PSA is found in “true” female Erupt. Urea, uric acid, and creatinine concentrations were comparable in all of the urine and squirt samples. However, PSA, which was not detected before sexual simulation in six of the women’s urine samples, were present in urine collected after squirting and in the squirt sample in five of the women.

Squirting, they found, is essentially the involuntary emission of urine during sexual activity—though there’s also a small contribution of prostatic secretions as well. Salama’s team is now working on a protocol to test whether the kidneys work faster to produce urine during sexual stimulation than at other times, New Scientist explains. And if so, why.

South Africa xenophobia: Anger over Nigeria envoy recall

South Africa has condemned Nigeria's decision to recall its ambassador over a spate of attacks against foreigners.
It called the step "unfortunate and regrettable" and said it "would be curious for a sisterly country to want to exploit such a painful episode".
At least seven people have died over a month of attacks on foreigners and foreign-owned property in South Africa.
Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini has been blamed for sparking the attacks with comments about foreign workers.
Soldiers were deployed to flashpoints last week to prevent more violence.
Some blamed the attacks - which centred on Durban and Johannesburg - on unemployment and poor political leadership.
Thousands were displaced, with many Zimbabweans, Mozambicans, Malawians and others returning home and others taking refuge in temporary government-operated shelters.
'Ongoing xenophobia'
Some governments complained that South Africa was failing to do enough to protect foreign nationals, though it now insists it has quelled the violence.
Nigeria has summoned Acting High Commissioner Martin Cobham along with Deputy High Commissioner Uche Ajulu-Okeke. "for consultation" over the "ongoing xenophobia", Minister of Foreign Affairs Aminu Wali said in a statement carried by media on Saturday.
The statement acknowledges that South African President Jacob Zuma has condemned the attacks.
In its response, South Africa's Department of International Relations and Co-operation points out that "a government resorts to such an extraordinary diplomatic step to express outrage at actions or behaviour of another government.
The statement says South Africa has not blamed Nigeria "for the deaths and more than nine (9) months delay in the repatriation of the bodies of our fallen compatriots" in attacks by Boko Haram militants.
The statement insists that the South African government and citizens have been "decisive and unequivocal in condemning and rejecting the attacks on foreign nationals" and insists that "through our interventions, relative calm and order has been restored".
On Friday, President Zuma met over 50 leaders of organisations representing foreign nationals in South Africa for talks about how to avert any repeat of the attacks.
Next week, the South African parliament is to be suspended to allow deputies to press the anti-xenophobia message in their home constituencies.

INEC Declares Ikpeazu Winner Of Abia Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Okezie Ikpeazu, the winner of the Abia State governorship election.

Mr Ikpeazu polled 264,713 to defeat the candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, Alex Otti, who polled 180,882 votes.

The result was declared in the early hours of Sunday after the supplementary election of Saturday.

Election was held in all the areas earlier listed by INEC for the re-run election except in Umunneochi Local Government Area.

INEC had erroneously scheduled election there, which was not supposed to take place in the first instance because the Form, EC40G, was not filled which indicated that there was no problem in the area.

Abia State is one of the state where supplementary governorship election was held on Saturday after election of April 11 was declared inconclusive by INEC.

Other States are Imo and Taraba State.

The incumbent Governor of Imo State has been declared the winner of the elections while the result of Taraba state election is being awaited.

Supplementary House of Assembly election was also held in some others states in areas where elections had been declared inconclusive. The elections were adjudged peaceful.

Don’t let me die, lady bathed with acid by ex-lover cries

ALADI Sule lies critically ill at  the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, Kogi State.  Her body is wrapped  in bandage,  from the head to the chest. Part  of her back and  her right leg are socked in foil. One of her eyes has been “eaten” by acid and her right ear is  rolled into a small  ball. Aladi’s critical situation is no  thanks to an  alleged angry ex-lover who  was said to have promised to destroy  her beauty and  fulfilled  his promise.
Two months ago, Aladi was a pretty lady in her community, Idah, the  headquarters of Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State. At  25,  Aladi’s beauty was like a springing bud of  flower whose nectar was attractive to men. But that beauty was destroyed few weeks ago when the alleged  ex-lover bathed  her with acid and left her in agony.  A visit to the hospital showed  that  Aladi knew her body had been ‘recreated’ by the acid. However, she did  not know the degree of the attack.
She was yet to come to terms with the fact  that her right ear and right eye had been damaged  by the acid. Aladi, who struggle in pains to narrate the ugly incident, said was suffering because she failed to take serious the threat of her ex-lover, Kazeem Abdullahi, who, she alleged, had come to her fruits shop, to deal with her if she failed to pack out of the house he rented for her. Sunday Vanguard gathered that Aladi and the suspect  were secondary school lovers in Idah.
Shortly after their secondary school education, Aladi became pregnant for him in 2011, a  development that caused  Aladi to moved into Kazeem’s  house. The pregnancy produced a baby girl. Unfortunately, the baby died shortly after her first  birthday.  Kazeem was said to have married another wife  in 2011 who also moved into the  house with them – that was the beginning of Aladi’s travail.
The new wife was said to have raised the alarm shortly after that Aladi was the reason she was unable to conceive. She alleged that  Aladi  had been visiting a neighboring community to affect her spiritually.
The second wife was also said to have alleged that the sudden disappearance of her clothes and other house hold items was a product of Aladi’s spiritual attack; a  development that made Kazeem to send Aladi’s away to her family house. Few months after, Kazeem was said to have  approached Aladi to return to the house. This time around,  Aladi’s family kicked against it. The paternal uncle was said to have frowned against it.
He was said to have told Kazeem to prepare for marriage rites before he could get her back to his house. His position was hinged on the fact that Aladi was subjected to such maltreatment because there was no proper marriage between them. Kazeem promised to perform the marriage rite. In the interim, he rented a  house, for her. However, few months after, Kazeem was said to have recanted and said he was no longer interested in continuing with the marriage.
The family was said to have raised money for Aladi  which she used to start  the business of selling provision in the market in day time and, in the evening, retired to her street corner ( Bishop Junction) selling fruits.  Bishop Junction is a popular area of Idah with taxi and Okada riders using the place as their park. In few months, she was able to raise fund and was already planning to seek admission to the university. It was at this Bishop Junction that Kazeem approached her and demanded that she pack  out of the house he rented for her. “He told me to pack out, threatening to deal with me.
He said he was  going to recreate me and make me ugly saying it was because men were still looking at me that made me think I was pretty. He also said if I failed to pack out, he will deal with me and destroy the beauty that I was  using to ‘pose’ around town. I thought he was just jealous that I was  looking good and making progress with my business after he said he was no longer interested in me. I told  him it was  mere anger and I decided to ignore his warning.”Aladi also said she did not bother to inform any of her family members about the threat until the sad event happened. Not done, Kazeem was said to have approached the land lady he rented the house from, urging her to send Aladi’s packing.
The landlady was said to have informed him that she could not send her away on the grounds that she had been able to renew the house rent on her own. Kazeem was said to have stormed out of the building but not before telling the land lady to expect him back in a manner she will never forget. Two weeks later, it happened. Aladi said it was around midnight when she was sleeping at home with her niece  staying with her. Because of the heat, she decided to open her door; afterall, some  occupants of the building were also sleeping outside.   She said she was woken up by the sound of her niece struggling with a man  beside her on the bed.”I saw my niece struggling with him.
Kazeem was holding a container in his hand. Immediately I saw him, I began to scream his name but, before my shout could attract  people, he had already poured  the content on me. Immediately, it felt as if my body was set up on fire. I didn’t know what happened next until I found myself at the village cottage clinic”. The niece was also affected at the head as  the acid poured on her. It was from the hospital that she was referred to the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja where she spent one month at the emergency ward before being transferred to the theater for her first surgery and now lies in  critical condition at the female surgical ward. Her sister, Fatima Sule, who is looking after her, said the family received  a distress call from a  neighbor, who heard her shouting and rushed to her room.
The neighbor was said to have seen a familiar figure bolting  out of the room, and, on getting inside, saw her with the acid sprayed on her body. They immediately rushed her to the village clinic. “When we got to the hospital I could not identify my sister again. Part of her body had been burnt beyond  recognition”. The elder brother, Isiaka Sule, a VIO officer, who has been responsible for the medical payment, said it was around 2 o’clock in the night when her sister, Fatima, called him to say  their sister had been bathed with acid. Isiaka said the next day he and  some  family member went to the police station in the community to lodge a  complaint. But to their surprise, Kazeem was said to have been there to lodge a similar complaint.
But Kazeem, in his statement, told the police that he heard that a lady in her street (even though he allegedly lives  far away from the place) had been bathed with acid. He was quoted as saying he only came to the station to report as a good  citizen and because some people may say he was the one who did it. Aladi from the sick bed, insisted the estranged  lover was the person she saw on the day she was attacked. The police arrested Kazeem but  three days later set him free as his(Kazeem) parents promised to take care of Aladi’s medical bill. The Sule family decided against pursuing the case in  court, opting instead to focus  on saving the life of their sister. “How can I have the  time, energy or money to go to court or continue visiting the police station when our sister is still lying critically ill in  hospital?
As I speak with you we have spent over N300,000 on her treatment. I have even taken a soft loan of N100, 000 from Sharp – Sharp. That along with the money from  sympathizers has all been expended. We have exceeded our financial limit,”Isiaka said. Aladi  still has a long way to go. The doctors  treating her said there are  two other surgeries to be carried out aside the fact that her right eye had been lost and the right ear eaten by the acid. Since the doctors could not get vein in her hands; they had to lacerate one of her legs in order to pass  drips. Aladi  fears she may not be able to walk again.
“All I’m after is to be able to walk again. Presently I cannot put  my leg on the ground . I know I am already disfigured. I also know that he (Kazeem) has  succeeded in his plan.I don’t care about my body or look again; I just hope I can walk,” she stated. The doctors however give a glimpse of hope. The laceration of Aladi’s leg will not make her paralyzed. They said she will still be able to use the leg to walk again. The families are however  in the dilemma on how to raise money for the other surgeries and pay  medical bills that will arise. The efforts of the family to approach Kogi State Government through the Ministry of Women Affairs have not yielded  positive result. The family is appealing to individuals and  organizations to come to their aid to give their sister  ‘life’ again. The family can be assisted through the following account:  ISIAKA SULE, U.B.A, LOKOJA,  Account Number: 2032301751.

XENOPHOBIA: FG recalls Nigerian envoys to South Africa

The Federal Government has recalled its High Commissioner to South Africa, Martin Cobham, and his deputy, Uche Okeke, to protest the continued attacks by South Africans on Nigerians and other foreigners in the former apartheid enclave. In a statement on Saturday by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Minster of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Aminu Wali, said the envoys had been summoned for consultation. The statement read, “The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Aminu Wali, has summoned for consultation, Nigeria’s senior diplomats on tour of duty in South Africa. These are the Acting High Commissioner in Pretoria, Ambassador Martin Cobham, and the Deputy High Commissioner in Johannesburg, Ambassador Uche Ajulu-Okeke. “The invitation is in connection with the ongoing xenophobia in South Africa targeting foreigners, mainly African migrants. “It will be recalled that the current spate of attacks began about three weeks ago, and have so far claimed some seven lives, destruction of property and created fear and uncertainty in the minds of African migrants in the former apartheid enclave. “The South African President, Mr. Jacob Zuma, has condemned the attacks in a statement presented to the South African National Assembly. Ditto for the Zulu Monarch, Goodwill Zwelithini, whose alleged inciting comment provoked the attacks. Well meaning South Africans have also organised peace marches against xenophobia.”

Couple Stabs 10-Year-Old Girl in Private Parts with a Broken Bottle for Allegedly Fiddling with the Vagina of Their three-Year-Old Daughter

A 10-year-old girl, Chidinma, has been admitted at an undisclosed hospital after a couple – Eucheria Chukwuma and Jerry Oko-Oboh – allegedly beat her up and stabbed her in the private parts with a broken bottle. The couple and the victim’s family lived on Joshua Street, Agbabiaka, in the Ajangbadi area of Lagos.

It was learnt that the couple assaulted the minor for allegedly fiddling with the vagina of their three-year-old daughter, Peace. Punch gathered that Chidinma, who denied the allegation, had played with Peace at about 7pm on April 6. It was alleged that the toddler later cried and told her parents that Chidinma fiddled with her private parts.

Angered by the complaint, 30-year-old Chukwuma, it was learnt, went to Chidinma’s mother, Ofia, demanding that Chidinma follow her to her room. A few minutes later, Ofia reportedly heard her daughter screaming and rushed to Chukwuma’s apartment to see what was wrong.

On getting there, the door was said to have been locked by the couple who reportedly beat up the victim repeatedly with punches. Not satisfied, the wife allegedly stabbed Chidinma in the private parts and smeared them with pepper.

Our correspondent was told that the couple fled the neighbourhood when blood started gushing from Chidinma’s vagina. They were later trailed and arrested by the police after the attack was reported at the Okokomaiko Police station.

The police said Chukwuma, in a statement she voluntarily made at the station, confessed to the crime, saying she became furious when the girl declined comments about Peace’s allegation. She and her husband were subsequently arraigned before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court on three counts bordering on assault.

The offence, according to the police prosecutor, Olusoji Ojaokomo, is punishable under sections 171, 243 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011. The charges read in part,
“That you, Eucheria Chukwuma, 30 and Jerry Oko-Oboh, 32 on April 6, 2015, at about 9pm on Joshua Street, Agbabiaka, Oke-Agbo, Ajangbadi, in the Ojo Magisterial District, did conspire to commit felony and unlawfully assaulted one 10-year-old Chidinma, by beating her up with fist blows in her eye, which caused her harm.
“That you, on the same date, time and place, in the aforementioned magisterial district, did unlawfully assault one Chindima by stabbing her with a broken bottle in her private parts.”

The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the offence.

The presiding magistrate, Mr. P.A. Adekomaya, admitted them to bail in the sum of N100, 000 with a surety each in like sum. He added that they be remanded in prison custody until their bail conditions were perfected.

The case was adjourned till May 13, 2015 for mention

35-Year-Old Nigerian Woman Stabbed Her Husband to Death Over Cheating, Marital Issues In US

A 35-year-old Nigerian woman has been charged with killing her husband, who she claimed abused and cheated on her with several women including her sister and their nanny's daughter. Her husband, 37-year-old Adeyinka Adebamiro, was found stabbed in a first-floor spare bedroom of the couple's home in the 1300 block of Healy Court early Thursday, according to court documents obtained by The News Journal.

New Castle County police were called to the home at about 12:40 a.m. for an unknown problem. Arriving officers found Adeyinka Adebamiro unconscious with a stab wound to the upper body. New Castle County paramedics pronounced him dead at 1:37 a.m., said Officer Tracey Duffy, a county police spokeswoman.

The victim, his wife, Temitope Adebamiro and their two children and nanny had been living at the home for the past two years.

Officers took residents of the home – including Temitope, who was wearing blood-stained clothing according to court documents – to the Cpl. Paul J. Sweeney Public Safety Building near New Castle.

According to police and documents, the two had been married for more than 10 years, during which time she told investigators that he'd physically abused her, even while pregnant with their two children.

She also told investigators her husband had been cheating on her with various women, including her own sister and the nanny's daughter, papers said. The papers, however, did not say how old the nanny's daughter was.

Temitope also told investigators her husband had sent her to Nigeria for several months, papers said. After returning in December, she had to stay in a hotel near the Philadelphia airport for four days because her husband refused to let her into their Red Lion home.

He then paid for her to fly back to Nigeria for a few more months, according to documents. About this time, she learned that her husband had spent Christmas with the nanny's daughter.

The husband later flew out to Nigeria and flew back with her to Philadelphia. As he showed her the cameras inside their home over his cellphone, Temitope saw the nanny's daughter inside the home, documents claim.

At one point, Temitope saw several texts and images in her husband's phone, which she took pictures of using her cellphone. Some of the pictures included images of her sister and the nanny's daughter. The documents do not detail the images beyond that.

As the investigation drew to the night before the killing, police learned the couple had been talking and watching television on the couch about 9 p.m. Wednesday. Temitope and her husband began arguing after he discovered the photos she'd taken on her cellphone and he began erasing them, according to court papers.

As he yelled at her, Temitope told police there was a power outage at which time she went to the kitchen until power returned, according to documents.

Investigators checked with Delmarva Power, which indicated no such power outage occurred at that time, police said.

Temitope then told police that when the power returned, she found her husband in the first-floor bedroom lying in the bed. As she got closer to him, she saw a knife on the ground which she picked up and took to the kitchen, according to documents.

As she put it away, she noticed blood on the tip and that's when she realized that he was stabbed, the papers said.

While not admitting to the killing, the court papers claim Temitope changed her story several times about what happened in the bedroom, including to say that she entered first and her husband followed her in with the knife but that he later dropped it.

Temitope suggested that her husband stabbed himself, according to the papers. The autopsy, according to the papers, said the homicide was a single stab wound just below the victim's neck, about 2 inches off the center line. The stab was 4 inches deep and severed the victim's carotid artery and jugular vein.

When police told Temitope that this was not a suicide, the woman "began nodding her head in agreement," according to court documents.

Temitope was charged with first-degree murder and other charges. She was arraigned and committed to the Baylor Women's Correctional Institution where she is being held without bail.
